We're proud to partner with
our house of hope rescue
Part of the core mission of Wags is helping others and supporting the community, and we are proud to donate a portion of every sale to Our House of Hope Rescue, an innovative, prevention-based nonprofit based in Libertyville, IL. As an Il. 501(c)3 State Licensed Non Profit Animal Welfare Organization, Our House of Hope specializes in the medical, behavioral and the emotional rehabilitation of animals. Founder, Lisa Krinninger explains, “The core objective is animal rescue and rehabilitation while leading through example, community involvement, education and community partnerships.”
Our House of Hope is a multi-faceted nonprofit with a variety of animal-focused community programs including: the Seniors for Seniors Program, the Pet Food Pantry which has the motto "keeping pets with their people", Emotional Support Pet Therapy and the Paws-Ability Project.
Once the COVID19 situation improves, we will be partnering with the Paws-Ability Project. This transitional program bridges the gap between what is and what can be for both rescue animals and young adults with disabilities by providing professional training.
These young adults will have the opportunity to work in the Wags lab and will learn about manufacturing through on-site training.
Training benefits for young adults with disabilities include improved quality of life, enhanced self-confidence, expanded social network and a sense of community and responsibility. Our House of Hope believes that embracing the human/animal bond leads to comfort, strength, willingness and confidence.
